4 years agoMinnesota Twins catcher Mitch Garver (knee) is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the White Sox. Garver's knee bruise is viewed as a day-to-day injury, with Wednesday's game marking his second absence due to the ailment. The veteran backstop will hopefully be feeling well enough to return for one-half of the team's doubleheader on Thursday against the Angels. Manager Rocco Baldelli had previously noted that Garver should be able to avoid an injured list stint. Benjamin Rortvedt will be behind the plate for a second straight game.--Tim Capurso
