Mitch Haniger Diagnosed With Bone Bruise On Knee
4 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger (knee) was diagnosed with a bone bruise on his knee after exiting early on Sunday, and is being considered day-to-day, according to Daniel Kramer of MLB.com. Haniger left the game after fouling a pitch off his knee in the top of the first inning, and had to be helped off the field. Manager Scott Servais said that Haniger will undergo further testing and an MRI upon their return to Seattle, and that he wasn't sure a stint on the injured list would be necessary at this point. This is good news for managers, as Haniger has been having a good year so far by slashing .259/.310/.518 with 16 homers, 40 RBI and 43 runs scored in 63 games. Keep an eye out for further updates, but look for Haniger to return sometime mid-week.
