Mitch Haniger Homers Again In Late-Inning Win
7 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger homered for the second day in a row, this time a two-run shot that helped the Mariners edge the Indians 5-4. With desigated hitter Nelson Cruz out with a sprained ankle, Haniger represents possibly the most thump currently in the Mariners lineup. To this point he has delivered and now has five hits through his first eight at-bats. Haniger enjoyed an excellent month of April last season, hitting four home runs and driving in 16 runs. But a Grade 3 oblique injury derailed his promising start and it hampered his ability to play all season. Haniger has the talent but must stay healthy to live up to some his preseason fantasy hype. Haniger is an excellent value play for this upcoming slate of games in fantasy.
