5 years agoOut since June 6 after being hit by his own foul tip, Mitch Haniger (ruptured testicle) is expected to begin a minor-league rehab assignment early next week. Manager Scott Servais believes that Haniger will need 25-30 plate appearances in order to get his timing back, which means a week or more of games. With Braden Bishop (lacerated spleen) on the injured list and Domingo Santana's elbow preventing him from playing defense, Haniger's presence is sorely missing in a thin Mariner outfield.--Nicklaus Gaut - RotoBaller
