6 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger went 2-for-4 on Wednesday, including his fourth triple of the season in the Mariners 5-4 loss to the Padres. Haniger has put together an excellent end-to-end season and is slugging .475 with one home run, two triples and three doubles. Haniger slashed .345/.392/.571 in the month of August and has an outside shot at eclipsing 100 runs batted in for the season. The team appears to be comfortable keeping Haniger in the leadoff spot for the rest of the season that could depress his run production but could give him extra at-bats.--Joey C - RotoBaller
