3 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger tacked on an insurance run in the eighth inning of Thursday's 4-0 shutout win over the New York Yankees with a solo home run off relief pitcher Wandy Peralta. It's his first long ball of July, though he now has three home runs in his last 10 games. Haniger has been less effective over his last 30 games, with a .233/.287/.367 slash line, but he remains entrenched as the number two hitter for Seattle, and perhaps his tough stretch will allow him to remain in Seattle past the trade deadline. He's a solid candidate for fantasy managers to invest in now before the inevitable production resurfaces.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
