Mitch Keller, Jameson Taillon Set For Live BP Sessions Thursday
4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates right-handed pitchers Mitch Keller and Jameson Taillon will each throw a live batting practice session Thursday as they work their way back from respective injuries. Keller has been sidelined since Aug. 2 due to side discomfort, with the club still planning to have him back in the mix over the final month. Taillon underwent Tommy John surgery back in February, so his 2020 has already ended, but the fact that he has progressed to this stage is a positive indicator ahead of ‘21. Keller, who has long been heralded as the Bucs’ top prospect, posted a 3.52 ERA through his first two starts this year and will be a high-upside commodity should he make his way back to a big league mound this season.
