3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Mitch Keller (COVID-19) was placed on the COVID-19 injured list on Sunday, according to Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. This move comes two days after Keller exited his start due to what was announced as a heat-related illness, but when asked manager Derek Shelton could not comment on whether that illness was related to Keller's placement on the IL Sunday. Keller has been wildly inconsistent this season, going 3-6 with a 6.65 ERA and 48 strikeouts in 44 2/3 innings of work. The only way Keller should be considered rosterable is if managers are looking for strikeouts and are punting on ERA and WHIP.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
