4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Mitch Keller showed significant improvement in his second start of the year, as he struck out seven Cubs over five innings to earn the win in an 8-2 victory Saturday. Keller allowed just one run on five hits and one walk, as he looked like a vastly different pitcher than what he showed in Spring Training as well as his first start of the year, in which he allowed three runs and walked four in three innings of work. Keller has been far too inconsistent throughout his career to warrant managers targeting him after one good start, but if he can string together a couple more starts like this then he could be rosterable in deeper formats.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
