4 years agoSan Diego Padres first baseman Mitch Moreland is batting fifth on Wednesday, and the Padres have now placed him in that batting position in each of his first two games with the team. Three of the four players batting in front of Moreland on Wednesday have batting averages over .300 for the season, and the lone outlier -- Trent Grisham -- has enjoyed a strong season in his own right. Petco Park may sap some of Moreland’s power output, but he leaves a Boston offense that owns a middling .749 OPS for the league-leading Padres (.836 OPS) and should contribute a healthy amount of RBI for fantasy players over the rest of the season if he continues batting fifth.--Sam Chinitz
