3 years agoOakland Athletics first baseman Mitch Moreland went 2-for-4 with an RBI in a loss to the Mariners on Tuesday. Moreland drove in Starling Marte in the first inning, but that was it for the Oakland offense versus Mariners starter Chris Flexen. Moreland has been a disappointment in his first year with Oakland after being a fantasy asset in 2020 with the Red Sox and Padres. He's batting .230 on the season with an anemic .286 on-base percentage and only 10 homers across 79 games. Moreland has primarily been a DH for the A's, but hasn't been getting enough at-bats to be a fantasy asset in standard-size fantasy leagues. He can be left on waivers in all but the deepest formats.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
