Mitch Moreland Reaches Double-Digit Homers
6 years agoBoston Red Sox first baseman Mitch Moreland hit a three-run home run to lift the Red Sox over the Orioles on Tuesday. It was already his 10th homer of the year, as he’s gotten out to a powerful start despite hitting for a .215 batting average. It’s hard to justify his 15 percent ownership in Yahoo leagues, considering his 24 RBI and spot in the middle of the Sox's order against righties. He’s at least a very reliable streaming option. It remains to be seen who will lose playing time when the whole infield is healthy, but his glove at first should keep him in a steady platoon. The weekend series against the Mariners will be a great time to get him in lineups, as the Mariners will roll out three righties.
