6 years agoRed Sox first baseman Mitch Moreland (knee) will return to the starting lineup Saturday against the Twins. Moreland missed the past three games with a knee injury and was replaced in the starting lineup by Steve Pearce. Since Pearce's addition to the roster a month ago, the Red Sox have been platooning Moreland against right-handed pitchers and Pearce against left-handed pitchers. This trend should be expected to continue going forward as Boston makes a push to widen the gap between themselves and the Yankees.--Kev Mahserejian - RotoBaller
