4 years agoOakland Athletics first baseman Mitch Moreland will serve as the team's everyday DH for the 2021 season. This was expected after he signed a one-year contract in Oakland as he won't take playing time away from two-time Gold Glove winner Matt Olson at the cold corner. However, with Khris Davis now in Texas, the A's have an opening at DH that they hope can be filled by Moreland. The veteran had a quality season last year batting .265 with 10 homers and 29 RBI in 42 games while posting a solid 14.4 percent barrel rate. Moreland should be rostered in 14-team leagues and deeper or in those that utilize a corner infield spot.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
