Mitch Trubisky Hasn't Looked Sharp
2 years agoPittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mitch Trubisky hasn't looked very sharp so far in training camp practices. He came into Tuesday's practice having missed on 12 consecutive repetitions in the team's Seven Shots drill. Trubisky wasn't able to convert in four reps, extending his skid to 16 straight non-scoring plays in the drill. For the duration of training camp, he's gone 3-for-20. It hasn't all been his fault, but he's off to a rough start. The 27-year-old continues to get the first-team reps over Mason Rudolph and first-round rookie Kenny Pickett, and this is still Trubisky's job to lose heading into Week 1. Pickett has been hindered by his lack of patience. He's a one-read-and-go QB right now. If Trubisky continues to struggle, there's a real chance that Rudolph could pass him up and earn the starting job to open the season.
