6 years agoChicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky's up-and-down performance in training camp could be attributed to a vast expansion of the team's playbook. Reports of interceptions have trickled out of Bears camp, and the third-year quarterback is not expected to play another snap in the preseason. So there is plenty of trepidation for fantasy owners and Bears fans alike, but this could be a product of a playbook that quarterback Alex Smith once said took him "five years to master." Head coach Matt Nagy has intimated to reporters that he simply is overloading Trubisky now so they can simplify and amplify what he does best. This should include plenty of roll-outs, quick throws and unique formations to give Trubisky a chance to succeed in 2019. Trubisky is not quite a top-12 QB choice in fantasy yet, but he will be a highly coveted backup heading into drafts.--Joey C - RotoBaller
