Mitch Trubisky Listed As Starting Quarterback
2 years agoPittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mitch Trubisky is listed as the starting quarterback on the team's current depth chart, although he still hasn't officially been named the starter by head coach Mike Tomlin. Mason Rudolph is listed as the backup, with first-round rookie Kenny Pickett as the third-stringer. Trubisky was also named a team captain in his first year in Pittsburgh, a clear signal that he'll start in Week 1 against the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals, as expected. It's possible the 28-year-old is officially named the starter on Tuesday. Trubisky will have a short leash as the starter for the Steelers in 2022, and he'll merely be a low-end QB2 option for fantasy managers in superflex leagues in Week 1.
