Mitch Trubisky Will Start Sunday’s Contest
2 years agoPittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mitch Trubisky will start under center for Sunday's preseason finale against the Lions, head coach Mike Tomlin announced Friday. Despite the significant competition that Trubisky has received from Kenny Pickett and Mason Rudolph, the veteran will have started all three preseason games for the Steelers, a potential indication of where the team is leaning for Week 1 of the regular season vs. the Bengals. Trubisky has not started a game that counts toward the standings since Week 16 of the 2020 year when he was wrapping up his four-year run as the Bears' starter. With ample playmaking options surrounding him on offense, the 28-year-old could have some DFS appeal come Week 1 if he is indeed under center.
