3 years agoToronto Maple Leafs right wing Mitchell Marner recorded his first two-goal outing of the season on Sunday, helping the team beat the Islanders 3-0. He started the scoring with a short-handed goal and finished things off with an even-strength tally. Marner, who was recently reunited with Auston Matthews, had four shots in total in 19:42 of action. Toronto's No. 16 has had a very strong month with four multi-point performances. He leads the team with 11 assists and 17 points. The Maple Leafs are now heading to California for three games, with Marner looking to improve his road numbers.
