2 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder MJ Melendez has been scratched from the Royals lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Melendez was in the initial lineup, starting in left field and batting leadoff but the team put out another lineup a few hours later and he was absent. Kyle Isbel is now in left field and Michael A. Taylor is batting leadoff. There's no word on why he was a late scratch but the team should provide an update following the conclusion of Sunday's contest.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
