2 years agoKansas City Royals rookie catcher MJ Melendez is behind the plate and is hitting leadoff on Wednesday against Detroit Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal. Melendez has been the team's leadoff guy for each of the last three contests, and he's gone 3-for-8 with a double, triple, one RBI and three runs scored in the last two games as the leadoff man. He's gone just 5-for-26 (.192) with no home runs and four RBI in seven games over the last week and is also hitting only .221 on the year, but he does have nine home runs, nine doubles, two triples and 25 RBI on the year for the Royals in his first 60 major league games. At the weak catcher position in fantasy, you can certainly do much worse.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
