3 years agoMajor League Baseball is planning to make a new proposal following the owners' meetings this week, which will end on Thursday. Their proposal is expected to involve core economic issues, and hope remains that it could trigger something to get a deal done so that the regular season can begin as scheduled. MLB and the players union will meet on Saturday, so it's likely that the league's new proposal will be unveiled then. At this point, spring training is likely to be delayed, even if the two sides strike a deal by this weekend, which is probably very unlikely. But there is still time for MLB and the players union to work something out so that the regular season isn't shortened in 2022. Stay tuned.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
