3 years agoMajor League Baseball was unimpressed by the players union's offer on Tuesday but intends to make a proposal on Wednesday when the two sides meet for the third straight day. The good news is that the plan is for the two sides to meet every day through the Feb. 28 deadline for getting a deal done in time to start the regular season as scheduled on March 31. The union moved the percent of two-plus players to get arbitration from 75% from 80% and kept the minimum salary at $775,000 for 2022 while moving it up slightly in subsequent years. It was the third straight proposal in which the Players Association asked for more in at least one area that it had the previous time. The two sides are meeting longer and are talking more, but nothing much of interest has been said this week.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
