3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts (hip) could require a two or three game rehab assignment before he can return from the injured list, according to Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register. Manager Dave Roberts said that minimally, Betts will not be activated this weekend as he continues to deal with a bone spur on his hip that has affected him all season long. After a sluggish start to the season, Betts had heated up at the plate prior to his latest stint on the IL, as he's now slashing .277/.378/.521 with 17 homers, seven steals, 44 RBI and 68 runs scored over 87 games. Managers should keep an eye out for further updates over the next week, and hopefully he'll be activated sometime within the next 10 days or so.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
