3 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers officially placed outfielder Mookie Betts (hip) on the 10-day injured list with right hip inflammation. He's missed the last eight games and has been sidelined since July 19 due to his hip issue. The 28-year-old's hip wasn't progressing fast enough, and the Dodgers finally placed him on the IL Sunday. He won't be eligible to return until August 1. Right-hander Jimmy Nelson was activated from the injured list in a corresponding move. Bill McKinney and Matt Beaty should see an uptick in playing time while Betts is sidelined, but both players are options in deep-league formats.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
