Mookie Betts To Miss Third Straight Game Tuesday
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts (hip) will miss his third straight game on Tuesday night, as he is not in the starting lineup against the Giants, according to Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register. Manager Dave Roberts said that Betts has been battling a hip pointer all year long, and that he aggravated the issue while running at Coors Field over the weekend. Roberts added that Betts is still dealing with inflammation, but he could be available to pinch-hit if necessary. Managers will hope that Betts can return soon and avoid a stint on the IL, as it had appeared that he was finally starting to get into a good rhythm at the plate just before this injury. In the meantime, Zach McKinstry is starting in right field and will bat eighth against San Francisco.
