MRI Comes Back Clean For Ronald Acuna Jr., Remains Day-To-Day
3 years agoAtlanta Braves Ronald Acuna Jr. (groin) underwent an MRI on Saturday, returning negative. He is "day-to-day" with groin soreness. "It's the best news possible," Braves manager Brian Snitker said. "There was nothing big. He's just going to be day-to-day. I don't know how long it will be. But there's nothing from the MRI that showed he's going to be shut down." His surgically repaired knee hasn't been a problem. Acuna is not expected to play in the series finale against the San Diego Padres but could return Monday versus the Milwaukee Brewers. Fantasy managers will have Acuna back sometime next week. William Contreras has served as the team's designated hitter for the last two games while Acuna has been sidelined.
