2 years agoMultiple teams, including some in the American League East, are interested in acquiring Kansas City Royals All-Star outfielder Andrew Benintendi, according to sources. Benintendi remains unvaccinated against COVID-19, but it appears that his vaccination status isn't a big issue for interested teams. The 28-year-old was unable to play in the recent series in Toronto against the Blue Jays because of his vaccination status, and that could become an issue if he's traded to a contending team that faces the Blue Jays in the postseason. If he's traded to a contender, Benintendi will have an even higher fantasy ceiling to close out the second half of 2022. He's currently hitting .317/.386/.401 with three home runs, 37 RBI, 37 runs scored and two stolen bases in 322 at-bats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
