6 years agoBaltimore Orioles closer Mychal Givens fell to 0-7 in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Royals. Givens entered the game in the bottom of the ninth inning up by a run and proceeded to give up a walk and a walk-off home run to end the game. He has now converted five of nine save opportunities and has a 4.76 ERA in 62 1/3 IP this season. While he is the O's closer for now, Givens has not been very effective in the role this season and should only be owned by those desperate for saves, and maybe not even then.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
