6 years agoBaltimore Orioles closer Mychal Givens notched his fifth save of the season on Wednesday against the Blue Jays. Givens entered the game up by five runs in the top of the ninth inning with the bases loaded and two outs and struck out Teoscar Hernandez to end the game. He has now converted five of eight save opportunities and has a 4.50 ERA and 1.39 WHIP in 62 innings pitched on the season. Givens' numbers are not inspiring and the team he plays on does not afford him many save opportunities, so his fantasy upside is pretty limited. However, it appears that Givens has the closer position for now so he is worth a look in deep categories leagues that count saves.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
