6 years agoBaltimore Orioles closer Mychal Givens fell to 0-2 in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Yankees. Givens entered the ninth inning with the score tied and proceeded to get two quick strikeouts before things fell apart. Givens allowed a walk, a single, and then two consecutive walks (walking what would be the winning run in) before getting the final out of the inning. The 29-year-old has converted four of six save opportunities and now has a 4.91 ERA in 22 innings pitched. The good news is that Givens' 3.21 SIERA indicates that he has been unlucky to this point and he still has the closer role for now, but fantasy players should try to avoid relying on him in all but the deepest of leagues.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
