Nate Pearson Has Flexor Strain, Set To Play Catch Soon
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays right-handed pitcher Nate Pearson has been diagnosed with a flexor strain in his pitching arm and is set to play catch and start throwing as soon as this weekend. Toronto’s top prospect and the No. 9 overall prospect in the Majors, Pearson has showcased an explosive fastball (96 MPH average) in his first four starts. His results have been rocky, struggling with his control, but it’s been the home runs (five in 16 ⅓ IP) that have been backbreaking. Should he return in 2020, Pearson figures to have considerable DFS appeal and in medium-sized or larger formats. Check back for updates on his rehab progress.
