3 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Nate Pearson made his first start of the 2021 season versus the Astros on Sunday, but the results were far from spectacular. He surrendered three runs on four hits and five walks in just 2 1/3 innings without striking out a batter. Pearson threw just 28 of his 64 pitches for strikes, but there will undoubtedly be better days ahead for the team's top pitching prospect. The right-hander is still getting stretched out after suffering a groin injury in spring training, so he remains a stash in deeper leagues for now. He's scheduled to face the Phillies in Dunedin next, providing he stays in the big-league rotation.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
