The 30-year-old allowed two earned runs and eight hits while striking out four batters and conceding one walk in the match-up against two-time Cy Young winner Jacob deGrom. Through the first two starts, Eovaldi has logged a 2.45 ERA and 1.36 WHIP in 11 innings of work, while serving as the ace of the current Red Sox rotation.
