Nathan Eovaldi Goes Six Innings In Final Tuneup
4 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi made his final start in Sunday's intrasquad exhibition contest and tossed six innings as prepares to make the start in Friday's season opener against the Orioles. The 30-year-old allowed two earned runs, surrendered four hits, walked two batters and recorded five strikeouts on the night in what was another effective outing for the right-handed veteran. Eovaldi will headline the Red Sox rotation until starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez is ready to return to the mound after reports suggested that he will begin the season on the 10-day injured list. Eovaldi, who is currently only owned in 40% of leagues on Yahoo, is worth an add in standard formats after a productive camp leading into the shortened 2020 season.
