4 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi carried his momentum from a strong summer camp into his Opening Day start, as he cruised through the Orioles lineup in Friday's 13-2 blowout victory. Eovaldi allowed just one earned run and five hits while recording four strikeouts through six strong innings. The lone run against Eovaldi came in the sixth inning, when Renato Nunez drove in Anthony Santander from second base, after both hitters connected for doubles off of the right-hander. Eovaldi will hope to continue his stretch of productive performances for fantasy owners in his next scheduled start, which is set for a road meeting against the New York Mets.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
