4 years agoBoston Red Sox right-handed pitcher Nathan Eovaldi has been placed on the 10-day injured list prior to Saturday’s contest against the Nationals due to a “very mild strain” of his right calf. The move opens another spot in the Boston rotation to be filled during a season in which the team has scuffled to find adequate starting arms. While Eovaldi has corrected walk issues from last season, the seven homers that he has yielded through his 34 ⅓ frames have spurred a 4.98 ERA in his first six starts. With Eovaldi set to miss at least the next week of action, season-long owners will have to look elsewhere for production.--Jesse Borek
