4 years agoBoston Red Sox right-handed pitcher Nathan Eovaldi will rejoin the club’s starting rotation Saturday against Tampa Bay, which marks his first appearance since Aug. 20. Eovaldi has been on the IL due to a strained right calf, so his pitch count shouldn’t be overly impeded by the absence. He will be matched up against Rays ace Tyler Glasnow, which may cap his DFS appeal, in addition to having allowed four runs in five frames against the club back on Aug. 4. If nothing else, Eovaldi’s return may help Boston cover innings as their staff has been decimated by injuries and lack of production for most of 2020.--Jesse Borek
