Nathan Eovaldi Solid For Five Innings In Game 3
3 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi got off to a rocky start in Game 3 against the Tampa Bay Rays, allowing a two-run home run to Austin Meadows in the top of the first inning, but he settled down to only allow those two runs on three hits and a walk with eight strikeouts through five innings. He took a no-decision in the 13-inning 6-4 Red Sox victory. Eovaldi has earned a reputation as a big-game pitcher, registering a 1.93 ERA aan 0.80 WHIP across 32 2/3 playoff innings in eight games and four starts. He's been outstanding in 2021 and should be a value in 2022 drafts.
