Nathan Eovaldi Takes Sixth Loss Saturday
3 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi has been the ace of the staff with Chris Sale still on the way back from Tommy John surgery, but he was not at his best Saturday against the Tampa Bay Rays. Eovaldi allowed six runs (five earned) on six hits and one walk in 5 1/3 innings. He struck out six batters and allowed two home runs. The loss drops his record to 9-6 on the season. With a 3.71 ERA, a 1.19 WHIP, and 120 strikeouts in 121 1/3 innings, he's no fantasy ace, but he remains worthy of a roster spot.
