Nathan Eovaldi Takes The Loss Tuesday
3 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi's brief streak of excellent starts came to an end Tuesday, as he allowed five runs on nine hits and a walk to the Los Angeles Angels in 5 2/3 innings. He struck out nine batters. The loss lowered his season record to 9-5, and his next appearance appears set to be in the all-star game. Eovaldi is deserving of the honor, as despite this rough outing he has been the ace of the Red Sox staff with Chris Sale out, producing a 3.66 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, and 99 strikeouts in 103 1/3 innings. He's not a fantasy cornerstone, but he's a very solid addition to rosters.
