Nathan Eovaldi Takes Win In Game 2
3 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi took the win in Game 2 of the ALCS against the Houston Astros, throwing 5 1/3 innings and allowing three runs on five hits and one walk with three strikeouts in the 9-5 victory. Eovaldi provided some much-needed length after manager Alex Cora deployed eight pitchers in a Game 1 loss. Eovaldi now has a 2.37 ERA and 0.84 WHIP over nine career postseason appearances. He lines up to make at least one more start in the series.
