2 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi (shoulder) threw a 25-pitch bullpen session at Fenway Park on Friday. He was placed on the 15-day injured list on Aug. 23 with right shoulder inflammation after being scratched from his start on Aug. 18 with a sore trapezius muscle. Eovaldi last pitched on Aug. 12 against the New York Yankees, giving up two runs over six innings. The 32-year-old right-hander will likely throw another side session in the coming days, and skipper Alex Cora would like Eovaldi to make one minor league rehab start before he rejoins the starting rotation. Barring a setback, it looks like fantasy managers will get Eovaldi back sooner than later. He's gone 5-3 on the year with a 4.15 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 96 strikeouts in 99 2/3 innings over 18 starts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
