3 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi was outstanding Saturday night, throwing 7 2/3 innings and allowing two runs on seven hits and no walks while striking out eight New York Yankees. He left in position for a win but was stuck with a no-decision after reliever Adam Ottavino gave up the lead. It was a banner night for Eovaldi, who pounded the zone to the tune of 82 strikes out of 100 pitches, allowing him to pitch deeper in the game than he had in any other this season. He now has a 3.49 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and 114 strikeouts in 116 innings this season. He belongs on fantasy rosters in most formats.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
