6 years agoColorado Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon has carried last year's goal-scoring form into the new season, making it three goals in three games during Tuesday's losing effort at Columbus. MacKinnon got the team on the board early in the second and the Avs managed to make it 2-2 soon after thanks to Carl Soderberg second goal of the year, but they couldn't match the Jackets' energy in the eventual 5-2 loss. MacKinnon has four points in total for the season with a team-high 19 shots on goal. None of his points have come on the power play, so there's even room for improvement.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
