4 years agoColorado Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon celebrated his 500th career point on Tuesday when he finished a 3-2 win over L.A. with two assists. He became the seventh player in Avs history to reach the 500-point plateau. He and Matt Calvert helped Brandon Saad to open the scoring with his first Avs strike and MacKinnon also combined with Gabriel Landeskog to set up Mikko Rantanen for a power-play goal. Devon Toews also scored a power-play goal in the contest. MacKinnon has produced absolutely elite numbers in the past three seasons, and he's now the first player from the 2013 draft class to reach 500 points. He starts the road for another 500 in a rematch against the Kings on Thursday.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
