6 years agoWashington Nationals relief pitchers Trevor Rosenthal and Kyle Barraclough combined to allow four runs in the eighth inning of the team's 11-8 loss to the New York Mets Saturday before Matt Grace struck out Robinson Cano to end the inning. Grace and Wander Suero then allowed another three runs in the ninth. The runs added up to turn a 4-4 game into an 11-4 contest, and the Nationals could not come back despite four ninth inning runs. Washington has a shaky bullpen situation behind closer Sean Doolittle and it's not clear who would get saves if Doolittle missed time, so this is a situation to avoid unless you have the incumbent closer.--Nathaniel Green
