7 years agoNew York Rangers defenseman Neal Pionk scored his first NHL goal on Saturday and also collected an assist in the 5-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres. After trading Ryan McDonagh, the Rangers are looking at any defenseman in the system to step up and Pionk has done so. This game now puts Pionk at a seven-game point streak, in which he has 10 points. Pionk has shown his offensive prowess at the NHL level thus far this season and may end up being a nice low-value candidate next year on your fantasy blueline.--Caden Inaba
