4 years agoRebounding nicely from his last performance and putting himself back in the welterweight title talks, Neil Magny (25-9) secured a unanimous-decision victory over the very tough Geoff Neal on Saturday night. Though Magny was only 2-for-10 on his takedowns, he notched 55 significant strikes and 89 total strikes. One of the few welterweight contenders left who has not fought champion Kamaru Usman, a solid win here has probably put Magny in a No. 1 contender matchup for his next outing. Knowing so much will be on the line, look for Magny to continue implementing his game plans on his way to that title shot.--Matt Bricker - RotoBaller
