Nelson Agholor Primed For A Big Week 3
6 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor has been all over the field this season and has been pretty productive. Agholor has lined up in the slot, outside, in the backfield and even has thrown a pass. He is coming off his second consecutive high-volume, high-result game as he hauled in eight receptions on 12 targets for 88 yards and a score versus the Buccaneers. Overall, the fourth-year vet ranks eighth in the NFL in catches (16) and seventh in targets (26, including penalties). He also has 18 rushing yards on two carries and 15 passing yards on the season. With Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) and Mike Wallace (leg) unavailable for the foreseeable future, Agholor should continue to see a large number of passes thrown his way. In the 13 games with Carson Wentz at quarterback last year, the 25-year-old reeled in 48 of his 76 targets and had seven touchdowns. Indianapolis' defense has given up the fifth most receptions in the league (54) and the 16th most yards receiving (267.2 per game). Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green ate up the Colts secondary for 92 yards and one touchdown on six catches in Week 1. With a high floor, Agholor is a must-start in Week 3, and don't be surprised if he is able to stretch the field a little more than he was with Nick Foles under center.
